We don’t usually see those words together, but the truth is that perhaps, the drink called beer is a bit misunderstood. It may actually be good for you when consumed in very moderate amounts.

Beer has been brewed for just about as long as humans have been cultivating crops and is actually made with some very healthy ingredients. Those ingredients are hops, brewer’s yeast, barley and malt. There are different styles of beer and each style has a distinctive flavor and color.There are beers with much higher or lower levels alcohol, carbohydrates, and protein.

The first question on my mind concerns how beer compares to other alcoholic drinks like red wine or distilled spirits. The comparison is not that easy to make. In the first place, the main beneficial element that was discovered in red wine is resveratrol, a powerful anti-oxidant. Beer doesn’t contain any resveratrol. But the presence of folate in beer helps lower the risk of heart disease when consumed in moderation. Beer also reduces blood clots and it has been shown to improve mental function in women as well as increasing bone density

It might come as a surprise to those that associate beer drinking with being overweight but there isn’t a trace of fat in beer.

But if there’s no fat, then where does the beer belly come from? Turns out it has less to do with drinking a beer and more about the customs of beer drinking. Think about bar foods. It’s usually salty, greasy, fat laden stuff, right? Plus, drinking a few beers can make even the most energetic of us a bit lethargic. It’s no surprise that inactivity can add to an expanding waistline. But a beer, all by itself, won’t significantly affect your weight one way or anothersome studies have shown that beer helps to reduce triglycerides and LDL (LDL is the bad sort of cholesterol), problems that are often associated with obesity.

If beer has no fat and moderate consumption doesn’t contribute to weight gain, then what’s light about “light” beers? Are they better for you? Actually, not necessarily. There’s nothing significantly different between light and regular beers except a slightly lower calorie count. If you’re trying to lose weight and feel compelled to have a beer, the light beer would be your choice

Of course that doesn’t mean that if one beer is good, three or four must be better. That isn’t true. Drinking more than one beer or any alcoholic beverage per day can put too much alcohol in your system and that isn’t good for you. Heavy drinking has been associated with several health problems, so moderation is definitely the key with drinking beer. The studies also point to one beer per day as being beneficial, not drinking all seven beers in one day per week. That type of binge drinking will overload you system with alcohol too.

The following people should not drink beer, or should speak with their doctor before drinking beer or other alcoholic beverages:

* Pregnant or breast-feeding women should not drink beer. Even small amounts of alcohol can damage a developing fetus.

* People with alcoholism or drug addictions should not drink beer.

* Young people.

* People with liver, pancreatic diseases, or really, any type of chronic disease should speak with their doctor.

* People with gout should avoid beer. Gout is very painful and is triggered by alcohol.

* Diabetics should speak with their doctor.

* People taking any type of medications should speak with their doctor. This includes over-the-counter medications

So, the bottom line is that Several beers each day is definitely bad for health. The key to health with beer drinking is to limit your consumption to one beer every alternate day.

Reducing Your Beer Belly

Then read on as if you are determined like me to change the way you look around the abdomen area then with no more than ten minutes effort per day you can make a dramatic difference to your shape and health.

What you need to do everyday is an exercise routine that uses a lot of energy and promotes good cardiovascular circulation. By performing these simple routines on a daily basis will allow you to burn up to one hundred and fifty calories a day.

These one hundred and fifty calories a day can make all the difference so lets get started. The ten-minute schedule begins with performing around two minutes of jump rope exercise. You need to perform two jumps of the rope per turn this is a very good exercise for you if it has been done right. You must take care, as this is an impact exercise so protect yourself by landing properly on the balls of your feet and make sure you use the correct size rope for your size for safety reasons.

You need to keep very positive about the effects of the exercises and remind yourself you are losing weight and feeling better even at first you think I have had enough. The next exercise is the one most people don’t like to do but it is very necessary to help with your beer belly removal.

You will need to perform squat thrusts into a push up position this is done by using the following technique. Stand with your feet approx shoulder width apart with your arms straight down next to the sides of your body. Slowly squat down with your head forward and bring your hands to the floor just outside of your feet. You should point your hands forward then in one movement try to push your legs back and out behind you. This then forms the push up position.

By performing one push up and then back to squat position then stand back up for the first couple of times this feels bad but you must focus on the good it is doing you then you know that saying no pain no gain comes from performing exercises like this.

After performing the squat push up exercises for two minutes then switch back to performing jump rope exercises with now only one jump per rope revolution. Keep doing this for the next two minutes and you can really start to feel the blood flow around your body.

After you have completed this for two minutes go back to doing squat exercise but its time to add something extra. After completing your squat thrust and push up lift and rotate your left arm off the ground and over your head. By doing this your left foot will rotate and rest on top of your right foot. Then rotate your necks so you are looking up at the ceiling, rotate back and perform the same position on the opposite side.

Then stand up and perform the same process until the next two minutes are completed. Keep reminding yourself of being able to show off that no existent beer belly on the beach, this works for me all the time.

Now repeat the exercises of minutes three and four concentrating on performing exercise without strain or injury. Use the jump rope for the next two minutes and when complete move onto the next exercise.

Back to doing the squat exercise with this added variation by adding a leg lift. Lift the toes of one foot of the ground about 12 inches or so after you have performed your push up section. Lower your foot and perform the same on the opposite side. Stand up and repeat until you have completed minutes six and seven.

When complete go back to performing jump rope for the next two minutes and keep up your concentration if you feel pain or injury then stop and get professional advice always think about what you are doing and making sure that you perform all exercise without over straining or giving yourself and injury.

Go back to performing squat with this extra variation to be added to the exercise perform a jog in place after each push up by standing up and bringing your knees up to your chest while performing a jog on the spot. Perform at least five jogs during this phase if possible.

The last exercise is back to the jump rope and until your time is up this concludes your exercise for the day you should feel a lot stronger and healthier within days and you should feel better and more importantly start to lose weight around the stomach area.

The truth in the matter, is it will take WORK. All the celebrities and models seen in the media are in the best shape of their lives due to regular exercise and healthy eating. To lose that gut, doesn’t copying their healthy eating habits and workout make sense? It will take some work but in the end it really doesn’t have to be that hard.People who are trying to get rid of their beer belly, they start jogging and doing situps. You would think this would make sense. Running will contribute to losing calories but doing sit ups and crunches will only strengthen your muscles, not get rid of your gut. Doing only sit ups and crunches can only achieve nice toned muscles UNDER your beer belly unless you do more workouts.

What else can you do if ab exercises won’t get rid of belly fat?

First, you must cut back on drinking beer.? I understand that this isn’t as easy as it sounds. Don’t you think that the reason you have a beer belly is because of all that beer your drinking? It doesn’t mean you can’t have a little bit of beer, just monitor and decrease how much you drink.
